Director's note
Solutions music video for J Millz. Directed by Dior Dave, shot in Houston in March 2026. The track is "Solutions" off J Millz's upcoming EP. We did the whole thing in one night at Studio 7 — a small soundstage out by the airport. The concept was warehouse-meets-spotlight: J Millz performing in this one tight pool of light surrounded by black, then a few wide shots that pull back to show the empty space around him. Felt like it needed to be intimate but also massive. Shot on the Blackmagic Pocket 6K with a Sigma 18-35 and a 50mm prime. My DP was Tobi Adeyemi, 1st AC was Stephen Lee, and Marcus Watts ran lighting. About 14 hours from call to wrap. Edited by Naomi Park, color was done by myself in DaVinci. Run time is 3:24. There's also a director's cut at 4:48 with the extended intro J Millz wrote, and a 60-second cut for Reels. Got about 8 BTS shots from set.
